Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow's youngest kids are living their best lives.
In fact, The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed how daughter Kat, 17, and son Ace, 13—who both identify as part of the LGBT community—have been thriving at their new Los Angeles-area schools after the reality stars sold their Laguna Beach home last year and relocated to Beverly Hills.
"One of the main reasons we moved back to L.A. is because there's more inclusive opportunities for my kids," Heather shared during the Bravo series' Sept. 5 episode. "For Ace, making a fresh start for him has been wonderful. For Katerina, the school that she's at has such a high-level film production program, she is thriving."
And Kat, who came out as lesbian two years ago, has been loving life in a bigger city.
"I would definitely rather live here," she told her parents. "I feel like it's a faster speed and my social life is a lot better."
Ace, who is transgender, agreed.
Heather—who also shares 20-year-old twins Nick and Max with the Botched star—couldn't be happier that her kids felt more accepted.
"Let's be honest, middle school is a cesspool of hormones and hideousness," she noted in a confessional. "If your child deviates from the norm, it's a rough road. Having four kids of different genders and different sexualities, Terry and I want to set them up for success when they leave the house."
Especially when it came to Ace.
"This is my fourth child going through it and, I have to say," she added, "I think he's really finding his way."
Their kids' coming out journeys even inspired Heather to get involved with various LGBTQIA+ charities and gay rights organizations.
"I want to protect my kids and I don't ever want to tell their stories for them, so I'm really just trying to balance and letting them find their paths," she shared. "And not hiding them, because we love and support them and not trying to hide them. But also not having them feel exploited either. It's a dance."
