North West is following in her father’s musical footsteps.
West, the 10-year-old daughter of rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West) and media personality Kim Kardashian, spoke about her burgeoning music career during an interview at the Rolling Loud festival in Inglewood, California. ¥$, the hip-hop supergroup consisting of Ye and Ty Dolla $ign, performed at the festival Thursday.
West chatted with teen reporter Jazzy's World TV at Rolling Loud and shared her excitement about her upcoming debut album, which she announced earlier this month. “It’s going to be great,” West said.
West also made an appearance during ¥$’s Rolling Loud set, according to footage shared on social media. West took the stage to perform her verse from “Talking,” a song featured on ¥$’s debut album “Vultures 1.”
Here’s everything you need to know about West’s first album.
What is the title of North West’s album?
West reportedly announced the release of her album during a March 10 listening party for ¥$’s upcoming sophomore album “Vultures 2” in Phoenix, according to Forbes.
“I’ve been working on an album,” West revealed at the event, adding that the project will be titled “Elementary School Dropout.”
The album’s title is likely a reference to Ye’s debut album “The College Dropout.” Released in February 2004, the multiplatinum LP peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and earned the rapper a pair of Grammy Awards, including best rap album.
Fans will have to wait and see if West’s album will feature any collaborations with Ye. West was mum when asked by Jazzy's World TV if her father would be featured on the album. “Maybe, we don’t know yet,” she said.
When is the North West's album coming out?
A release date for West’s debut album has not been announced.
Even West herself seems in the dark about when the project will drop.
“Like, I don’t know,” said West when asked for a release date by Jazzy's World TV at Rolling Loud California.

North West appears in music video with Ye and Ty Dolla $ign
In February, West appeared in the ¥$ music video for “Talking / Once Again.” The video is a girl-dad double feature between West and Ye and Ty Dolla $ign and his daughter.
In the video, West gets her hair braided by unseen hairstylists. She animatedly raps: "It's your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie / Just tryna bless me, just bless me."

Ye is seen intermittently as West talks in his ear and is later sitting on his shoulders. He isn't heard much on the track, outside of the repeated line: "Once again the clouds are gathering to release what they held in."
West is credited as a featured artist on “Talking,” taken from ¥$’s debut album “Vultures 1.” The song peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100.
